The development of intelligent factories, with unprecedented levels of automation and robotization, is transforming the value chain of companies and, across the board, the economy. Artificial Intelligence (AI) encompasses all those algorithmic systems that have been designed to recreate people’s own cognitive abilities such as learning, reasoning, problem solving, planning or self-correction. And prior to the processing of information, advanced sensor systems serve as “eyes” to visualize what information is going to be treated with AI.
