To ensure food security (availability of sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food) is one of the biggest global challenges nowadays, as it is related to main global trends in this sector, which influence on food security and will determine its further development. These are: demographics, scarcity of natural resources, climate change and food waste.

Due to its complexity and urgency, these challenges require cross-sectorial responses and this is where FoodPackLab2 was born, an initiative that connects deep tech, packaging and agri-food sector entities from 5 European countries: Spain, Belgium, Denmark, France and Italy.

Its main objective is to foster cross-sector collaboration for technological innovation in the food industry in Europe and beyond, with a focus on the Indian and South African markets.

During this webinar we will present different technological solutions to ensure food quality and safety by combining deep tech, packaging and agri-food.
