SECPhO attended the OASIS (Open the Access to Life Science Infrastructures for SMEs) project kick off meeting on 16th of December in Marseille, France. During the meeting partners launched the project and planned all the future work, focusing on stimulating closer collaboration between European SMEs and biophotonics research and application facilities in order to develop future collaboration projects.

SECPhO, as a leader of work package WP5 will be responsible for organisation of 2 webinars for EU (bio)photonics community about the project results and services and 8 technological meetings, where consortium SMEs will visit European biophotonics facilities and work towards innovative product development. SME travel expenses will be fully covered by the project. First meetings are planned to be organised in 2014 by the end of July – beginning of September. OASIS consortium gathers 9 European photonic organisations: SECPhO, Optitec (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France), Photonics Bretagne (Bretagne, France), Photonics Netherlands, Photonic Sweden, Optoscana (Tuscony region, Italy) and OptecBB (Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany) clusters and POLIMI Politecnico di Milano institute from Italy.

The next consortium meeting is planned to take place on 19th of March, 2014 during the Laser Optics Berlin exhibition in Germany. Let´s meet there!
