Job Description

Support the production department to meet photonic sensor assembly needs under cleanroom environment and in accordance with MedLumics’ quality police. Assist the transfer of manufacturing processes to volume production. Identify opportunities to improve focusing on optimizing assembly yield, time and cost of goods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in physics, materials science or engineering will be valued.
  • Must have a minimum of Technical Professional School diploma.
  • Fluent in English (ALTE-4 or higher).

  Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of Lab operations.
  • Clean room experience will be valued.
  • Optics/photonics expertise will be valued.

Main goals and task description

  • Process work orders performing various operations such as:
  • optical assembling
  • light coupling
  • incoming inspecting and
  • packaging for photonic components in accordance with the specific manufacturing procedures and batch records.
  • Set up all necessary equipment associated with in-process work orders in clean room/clean area environments.
  • Ensure product availability, maintaining inventory records updated.
  • Identify cost and yield opportunities to improve.
  • Conduct PFMEA
  • Work with suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures and/or equipment.
  • Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians.
  • Ensure compliance of manufacturing processes to quality standards and company policy.
