Up Devices and Technologies S.L. develops medical technology to improve health and quality of life. We work closely with health professionals to develop technologies that cover real medical needs. Our main technologies are OstoCutter and Dilubio: OstoCutter is a technology for personalization of ostomy pouches. A bad adjustment of the baseplate of ostomy pouches causes leaks and dermatological problems at a rate of 60%, such as dermatitis and even infections. OstoCutter solves this problem. Patients or their caregivers use a mobile application to take a photograph of the stoma, which we use to calculate the stoma’s exact contour and size. Then, a cutting device customizes the ostomy pouches. The device can be at patient’s homes, or in facilities offering a cutting service. Dilubio is a new modality of interstitial photodynamic therapy through novel diffusers and delivery devices, with the potential to improve a number of treatments in oncology, infection and regenerative medicine.
