Descripción:
The Centre for Development of Sensors, Instrumentation and Systems of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (http://www.cd6.upc.edu) is a Specific Research Centre within the University specialized in technology transfer in photonics engineering. The Centre has 40 scientists working in different lines of research, based on competitive funded projects and contracts with companies, all around photonics, optical metrology, multispectral systems, biophotonics, visual optics and optomechanics. CD6 has on-site electronic and mechanic workshops, and prototyping of turnkey units one of the key added values of CD6 from its inception.
For supporting our projects in lidar and electro-optic imaging technologies, CD6 is searching for an experienced PhD/posdoc researcher with experience in prototyping and an specialty in firmware and analog electronics development. Lidar imaging is currently an expanding topic. CD6 has currently several patents licensed and presented, industrial contracts being held and novel technological developments in the loop. The ideal profile is that of a PhD with a background on telecommunications or electronics engineering, experience in hands-on prototyping and hardware development in FPGAs, and involvement in technology transfer projects. The selected candidate will be awarded a two-year contract devoted to the development of novel solutions for lidar imaging in different applications, together with our development team.
