A postdoctoral position is offered in the field of optical engineering to carry out the industrialization of a new and cost-effective in-line assessment of high quality optics for photonic components. The new optical characterization solution was patented and it is performed by a new equipment at production speed that will allow establishing a binary criterion and thus assessing in-line the correct functionality of the components.

SnellOptics is a SME company, based in Barcelona, whose mission relies on products development and services in the field of optics engineering. Wide experience and recognized know-how in design and manufacturing in optics field, applied to different fields as imaging, metrology and instrumentation always under an OEM customer approximation.

A talented highly motivated engineer with a Ph.D. in optical engineering is actively searched. The candidate must be fluent in English with a sound knowledge of optoelectronics, PICs and/or thermoplastic injection. Additional knowledge of Spanish would be appreciated.

The position is for a duration of two year to be developed in SnellOptics’ headquarters (Barcelona, Spain), with a salary of 58,500€ per year.
